Scholarships
DCLA / Blue Ribbon Club Scholarships
The Denton County Livestock Association and the Blue Ribbon Club (a support organization for the Denton County Youth Fair and Rodeo) award numerous scholarships each year to graduating senior participants of the Youth Fair and Rodeo. Several of these scholarships are donated by individuals and families, as well as those funded by the DCLA and BRC through their fund-raising projects. Some are given in honor of Denton County individuals who have been active in the agricultural activities in past years.
Any graduating senior participating in the Denton County Youth Fair and Rodeo, affiliated with FFA, 4-H, or FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) is encouraged to apply for these scholarships.
Contact a leader / teacher, DCLA officer, or Blue Ribbon Club officer for an application.
Applications should be picked up by March 1 and returned to Weldon Burgoon or Shirley Haisler by 5pm on March 6th 2006. They will be judged at 6pm March 6, 2006.
