    Market Show follows the Breeding Sheep Show which begins at 1 p.m.

  2. Entries are subject to the general rules.
  3. All market lambs will be slick shorn ten (10) days before entering the fairgrounds for the show. There will be no shearing of lambs on the fairgrounds. Those breeds that carry wool below the hock may be shown with that wool. Lambs should not have wool located on the back and underlines any shorter than the rest of the body. No clippers / shears, electric or manual, will be allowed to be used on market lambs on the fairgrounds.
  4. Lambs will be tagged and tattooed in the left ear at the time of validation on Saturday, Dec 3, 2005.
  5. There will be on Southdown class, one fine wool / fine wool cross class, and five medium wool classes. A classifer will classify the lambs as they are weighed in. Division Champions and Reserves will compete for Overall Grand and Reserve Champion.
  6. All entries will show in pre-determined weight classes as noted below. Over-sized classes may be broken at the discretion of the superintendents. Minimum weight 100 lbs Maximum weight 155 lbs

  7. Sale order will be picked on a percentage basis of each breed/ class not to exceed a total of 30 lambs. Percentages from each class will be posted before the market lamb show begins. This is a terminal show for the Grand and Reserve Grand Champion Market Lambs and they will be slaughtered.
  8. All exhibitors will be allowed to show for showmanship. Exhibitor must show the lamb shown in class.
    Divisions:
    Juniors — 11 and under
    Intermediates — 12 to 14
    Seniors — 15 and older as of Aug 31, 2005
  9. Grand and Reserve Champions and the showmanship winners will receive belt buckles.
